Yakuza: Like a Dragon has a lot of systems that Persona fans will be familiar with because it is now a real role-playing game.

One of these is Kasuga’s personality stats, which change as the game goes on based on what you do and what choices you make.

Some of the stats are passion, confidence, charisma, kindness, intelligence, and style. Having a high level is important because it protects you from certain status effects, lets you unlock certain jobs, and gives you access to other game secrets.

And the Ounabara Vocational School, where you have to answer a series of tests, is a quick way to improve your personality stats.

Yakuza: An Explanation of the Dragon’s Ounabara Vocational School and Exam Answers

The Ounabara Vocational School is accessible beginning in Chapter 4, once you are allowed to explore Ijincho. It is located on Daikokuten Street just north-east of Jinnai Station and before Chinatown.

The first time you approach the building, ‘Substory 10: Fast Times at Ounabara’ will begin, introducing you to the school’s most prolific student, Ikari (if you’re using English audio, you’ll also be subjected to some particularly inspired localization work).

After completing this, you may return to this location at any time to take and pass a test designed to improve various aspects of Kasuga’s characteristics.

For each examination, you must answer 5 out of 10 random questions (the order of the answer choices will also be shuffled), and you have only 30 seconds to provide an answer. Except for one question, you only need to answer at least three questions accurately to pass, but since exams cost money, you’ll want to pass the first time.
