From the desk of Examrunz.com,  this article contains relevant information and guide about the candidate’s Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) exam docket, which must be shown at the testing facility. Five days before exams, ICAN dockets can be produced.
In 1960, professionals in the field banded together to join the Association of Accountants in Nigeria (AAN). Akintola Williams, who would later become chief, was instrumental in launching the group.
The AAN and other preexisting accounting and auditing bodies paved the way for the formation of ICAN via Act of Parliament No. 15 on September 1, 1965.
There were initially 250 people involved in ICAN’s formation.
According to ICAN’s mission statement, the organization’s goal is “to produce world-class Chartered Accountants, to regulate and to continuously enhance their ethical standards and technical competence in the public interest.”
Lagos is home to the organization’s main offices. Over 50,000 people have joined ICAN by the year 2020. In order to better serve its members, the ICAN started offering IT courses in August 2004.
The 46th President of ICAN, Major General Sebastian Achulike Owuama (retired), assumed office in May 2011.

The newly formed Pan-African Federation of Accountants (PAFA), also known as the Fédération Panafricaine des Experts-Comptables, chose the 16th President of the Association of Accountancy Bodies in West Africa as its first President (FEPEC).
After a vote at PAFA’s first ever gathering in Dakar, Senegal, he was declared the winner.
The formation of PAFA—comprised of professional accountancy organizations from 35 countries—has been called a “historical event for the accountancy profession and the African continent” by the International Federation of Accountants.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Printing Your ATSWA Exam Dockets (March, July and November)
What is Exam Docket?
Exam docket means “permission to enter examination room” or “permission to take examination” in plain English. It’s similar to a movie theater pass or a passport when going abroad.
That being said, you won’t even be able to take the exam if you don’t have it. It also includes some personal details about you. Your name, registration number, exam number, exam level, courses, and so on will all be included.

However, under certain circumstances, students will be admitted to the exam room without a docket by ICAN exam officials. However, even then, specific identification is required to gain access. In the article’s last section, we’ll cover this topic as well.
List of Candidates for the 2023 ICAN Certification Exam
It’s not always possible to print your ICAN exam docket 2023Â right after you register for the test. A minimum of five (5) days prior to the beginning of the exam is when it is typically made available.
Therefore, you should print either five days before the exam or the day before the exam itself. Now that you understand the significance of the ICAN examination docket, we can go over how to get a copy of it in advance of the exam and how to present it to ICAN staff without any problems.
Please take into consideration that this is a guidance for the diets of graduate and postgraduate students in the months of May and November. ATSWA registration periods are in March and September.
