You can pass the Post-UTME if you work hard and know what to do to get a good score. I was glad when Nigeria’s education minister made Post-UTME legal again. I was happy because this screening exercise also helped me get into one of the best universities in Nigeria.
Post-UTME gives all students an equal chance to show the school that they took the University and Tertiary Matriculation Examination. And this is why most universities in Nigeria do Post UTME for everyone who wants to get in.
Since the Post-UTME template was put in place, the management of the University of Ibadan says that there has been a significant improvement in the quality of students admitted to the University. This is based on empirical and verifiable data from the University of Ibadan.
One of my students did something that I will never forget. He got a 253 on the UTME and wanted to go to the University of Ibadan to study medicine and surgery. If there hadn’t been post-JAMB, he might not have made the cut-off mark.
Post-UTME was done, he did well on it, and he got the best score of anyone who did Post-UTME at UI. After that, he was offered a spot at the same school to study Medicine and Surgery and was also given a scholarship.
The reason I gave you the above point is to tell you that your JAMB score alone won’t help you get into universities in Nigeria. You also need a good Post-JAMB score.
Some candidates also want to know how many questions will be on the Post UTME. It depends on the school because some give 20 or 50 questions per subject. But I will tell you to look at past questions to find out how many questions will be asked.

Work on getting faster and better.
The number of questions you can answer will determine your grade, not the other way around. This means you have to be quick and right. This is a contest and a chance to get the course you want. You are competing with thousands of other people, and you need to work your way to the top if you want to be accepted.
Have a pretty good O/Level score
Some institutions may decide to do a screening based on your O-level and UTME scores. It could get a score of 50/50, 60/40, or 40/60 for O/level and UTME. If you don’t do well on your O/level, it will hurt your overall grade.
Stay relaxed
You should find a place nearby where you can stay the night before the exam. You shouldn’t drive down to the location on that day. Getting there on that day will make you more nervous, which will hurt your performance.
