Key dates for the board’s primary operations leading up to the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination have been released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) (UTME).
Registration for the 2023 UTME will begin on Saturday, January 14, and end on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, according to a statement made public by Fabian Benjamin, the head of media and public relations at JAMB, on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
Additionally, according to the JAMB spokesman, the Direct Entry registration period would run from Monday, February 20, to Thursday, April 20, 2023.
The statement claims that JAMB set the mandatory mock UTME for Thursday, March 16, 2023, and that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the conduct of the 2023 UTME will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

Candidates would have to pay a N1000 service fee for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers to conduct the mock exam at the time of registration in the interim.
The purpose of this, according to JAMB, is to avoid a scenario in which candidates express interest in taking the mock UTME, causing the various centers to commit personnel and material resources, only for them to skip the exam on the scheduled day.
