The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office charged Rusty Clevenger with conducting an investigation to identify the cause of the incident after receiving a report that a fire had occurred. As a direct result of the investigation done by this agency, a man was positively recognised as the victim of the crime.
Clevenger’s office was approached on Tuesday to assist a patient who had been transferred by emergency medical services from Clippard Street to Spartanburg Regional Medical Centre and was presently undergoing care at the facility. According to reports, the patient required help. Before the evacuation could take place, the patient had to be removed off Clippard Street. Clevenger stated that the patient was determined to no longer require medical attention three hours and forty-five minutes into the morning.
According to the report, deputies from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Clippard Street in Enoree in response to a phone call about an investigation into a fire that had been reported there. The fire was said to have started there.

Earl Butler, who is 79 years old and lives in Enoree, has been recognised as the patient. Landrum Clevenger was gracious enough to share this information with us. Clevenger was completely aware that Butler had been the patient during the entire procedure. Clevenger claims that they have not identified any evidence that would lead to any type of crime being committed and that they stand by this statement. Clevenger also claims that no proof has been discovered that would lead to any form of unlawful action.
