Benue State Universal Basic Education Board Teachers Recruitment Exam 2022 – The Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has announced that the examination exercise will take place on Wednesday, the 21st of December 2022. This date has been set aside for all of the individuals who have applied for teaching jobs with the Board, and their names have been shortlisted.
Comrade Joseph Utse, Executive Chairman of SUBEB, made the news on Monday, December 19th, 2022 at the headquarters of the Board during a Management meeting with Education Secretaries.
Comrade Utse underlined that involvement of the Education Secretaries is necessary in order to guarantee transparency and justice in the recruitment process, and he asked the Education Secretaries to avoid practising nepotism and discrimination in any form.
He gave instructions for the Education Secretaries to communicate with the Chairmen of the Local Government to make sure that everyone was on an equal playing field for the exercise.
In his remarks, the Board Secretary, Mr. Alexander Tsaga (KSM), confirmed that the activity will be carried out at the level of LGEAs, which will result in the Education Secretaries closely monitoring the entire process.
He went on to say that the SUBEB headquarters would be releasing a three-person committee to each and every Local Government Education Authority on the 20th of December, 2022. This committee’s members would help the Local Government supervisors, who would be drawn from the Admin. department, the Quality Assurance department, and the Academic Services department.
Mr. Tsaga also announced that permanent members of various zones will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment processes at their respective zones, and that all Local Government Chairmen will send representatives who will serve as observers. He added that SUBEB Officials will be responsible for educating the supervisors and Education Secretaries on how to go about the process.
The Board Secretary further informed that a list of all of the candidates that were shortlisted will be sent to the Education Secretaries, and those Education Secretaries will then paste the list at the LGEA offices.
Permanent Members of the Board Hon.Mike Kusah, Barrister Emoh Adoga, and James Ahua urged the Education Secretaries not to assign ownership of the recruitment. As a result, the process is going to be non-political, and only qualified individuals would be considered.
Mr. Adagba Gabriel, the Education Secretary for Vandeikya, spoke on behalf of Education Secretaries to express his gratitude to the board for informing them and including them in the activity. He guaranteed complete compliance and assured them that they will collaborate closely with the chairmen of the local governments.
