Republican presidential contender Ron DeSantis has found himself in legal trouble due to new campaign finance infractions, joining Donald Trump in legal risk.
The governor of Florida recently visited Texas, where he made comments in which he implied that, should he become president, he would violate the Constitution by abolishing birthright citizenship. He also posed for a picture next to a Texas Department of Public Safety chopper.
While that may not seem illegal at first glance, Daily Beast contributor Roger Sollenberger said that “his use of Texas government resources for his own political purposes appears to constitute a campaign finance violation.”
